hey there chickens!
welcome to the esad blog hop!!
sooooo........you wonder....what is ESAD?
is it some strange kiwi/aussie/cow thing i have just made up?
no silly :)
ESAD stands for
"Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators"
and it's an on-line group for
Australian and N Z Stampin' Up! demos.
We love what we do & love to share with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors.
We also share what we love in our ESAD
Demonstrator community,
through swaps,
challenges,
sharing knowledge,
ideas & friendship.
So if
you are a Stampin' Up! demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand then please feel free to leave me a comment with your email address then I'll contact you with information on how to join our group.
my job is to show you the wondrousness that is the label bracket punch
(page 28 in your 2014 occasions catalogue and $27.95 aud)
and the awesomeness of the cool kid stamp set
(page 29 and clear$33.95 aud)
now you may
(or may not if you haven't passed this way before)
that i am quite partial to a wee bit of punch art
when i get a new punch i play around with it
(after i have stopped gazing lovingly at it and drooling over it of course!)
and i explore it's versatility because let's be honest...
the more it can do for you-the better
I make up a sheet like above and stick all my ideas down so it is a quick and easy reference for me when planning my punch art creations
so here is my first idea.
my kids LOVE adventure time with finn and jake
finn's body really suits using the label bracket punch to it's full potential
you can see how i have cut it up to use it
but punch art is useless without something to add it to...riiiight?!!!
so i made a background using a triangle stencil, some daubers and my ink pads
i drew a dot where i wanted the tip of the triangle to go and then just started daubering in a slice of triangle all the way around
here's the final product!
i used the left-over bits of the punch
to make some tabs on the side.
i also added "awesome" to the card
because finn says it a lot :)
strangely my 8 year old son says it a lot too...
a punch is always good for a stencil too
here i have used the left-over bit to stencil some inky tabs to white card
when i buy a stamp set i also look for versatility
they have to be used in a lot of different ways.
ones with words are great because you can use the letters to make new words.
the cool kid stamp set is quite good for this.
you can see here that all i do is use a marker to colour in the letters i want
here is a homage to doctor who
i have used words and letters from the stamp set to make a phrase i want
and inside the card i have used the punch as a speech bubble and used a marker to put cool in it
next is a scrapbook page.
stamps are really versatile and
can be used for many things.
here i have used them to make
a background for my page
you can stamp onto pictures which i like
you can also use partial bits of stamps to get a different look.
on this page i have used the following stamp sets
cool kid
gorgeous grunge
geometrical
tape it
make note rotary stamp
hardwood
plus i have also used the hexagon hive thinlit
and the hexagon embossing folder as a stamp
have a close look and see if you see them all lol
i have also mixed up the dsp
just because it comes in a pack doesn't mean you only use that dsp together.
mixing and matching is all good :)
here i have used the high tide and watercolour wonder dsp from the 2014 occasions catalogue
now next step is ann gerlach with her fab creations
or if you are going backwards you came from
enjoy your blog hopping and see you again sometime:)
cheers ears
