doctor who card in a box

i am a complete whovian
LOVE doctor who
and it is reassuring to know i am not the only one out there!
this card was a special order made for a doctor who fan
and i had sooo much fun making it :)
this is a card in a box design
outide is similar to the phone box
-i even managed to get the writing on the board on it
inside i found some orange circle dsp from the sweet taffy range that was similar to the circles inside the tardis
i added a dalek to the front saying ce-le-brate!
the grey bit with the red arrows is for someone to write their well wishes on
side of card with geronimo on it-one of the doctor's favourite sayings
i also put the gear punches on it because they remind me a lot of the galyfrian(sp?) language
the other side says allons-y which is another favourite saying of the doctors
view from the top looking down so you can see how it is made
i was asked to do a matt smith doctor so hence why this guy is wearing a fez and a bow tie...because you know that bowties are cool right?
i also included the tardis console complete with glowing green light in the middle courtesy of some window sheeting and glitter and candy dots!

hope the recipient loves this as much as i do-it will be hard to send this one to its new home :)

WOOHOO!! it's time to blog hop again!!!!

yes!!
it is time again for a hop around some fabulous esad stampin up demos
and check out what stampin up have on offer from the
new 2014/15  inspire create share catalogue
this new catalogue introduces photo polymer stamps to our range of wooden and clear mount sets.
i am a wood girl myself but after seeing the price and having a play i am suspecting that i may be buying more of these than i thought possible because they are so easy to use, easy to clean, durable, stick to my mounting blocks like gloves and are cool!
now if you have been coming here on a regular basis you know that my family are a bunch of nerdy geeks!
we love sci-fi, technology and anything geeky.
hence why i have chosen a timey wimey doctor who theme in preparation for the new doctor appearing on our screens in late august
-oh my-
i have goosebumps already lol
so the photo polymer stamp set i want to show you is the back to basics alphabet on page 98 of the catalogue (RRP $27.95 AUD)
this comes in capital and lower case letters and numbers.
you can stick them to your clear mount blocks to make words
but the only downfall is you only get one of each letter but it is easy to line them up
having said that i am a bit of a
free-hander kinda girl
so mine are a bit wibbly wobbly lol
i used the alphabet rotary stamp from page 191 of the catalogue.(rrp$25.95 AUD)
this stamp has been chomping on some serious steroids and has 13 wonderful spaces for letters to make words and phrases never before possible!
now this stamp is VERY cool
but it does come with a user warning of making sure
that you are stamping
on a level surface
so that you get crisp clean messages
every time.
i also wipe off any extra ink
from the spaces
between words before stamping down
here i stamped onto white card in a variety of colours
and then cut them out to stick onto the black card
here i used the stamp as a background stamp with versamark and embossing powders
here i used it straight to the card (not for the  fainthearted can i just say)
as a love note for my sweetie

tardis card whee oooo wheeeee

we are slightly obsessed by doctor who at our house
which is not a bad thing
really
truely
it's all relative on the timey wimey
wibbley wobbley
geeky spectrum anyways

so here is my doctor who card for this week
based on the tardis
idea for the layout came from a
bet the girls never saw that one coming lol
the stripes down the side were made
using the gorgeous grunge set
in loads of different blues
and then sponging the edge
and then cutting it with my fringe scissors
to make it all wibbley wobbley
and then making it all spacey wacey
with the glitter

now to find me a time lord to give it to

cheers ears
