i may have a problem.....

....and it is NOT the over supply of stampin up stash waiting to be played with in my cupboards
no no
of course not that!!!

it may just be my over use of the card in a box design

i just love it!!!!
i was having a play with the acorn punch from stampin up and really needed to make other stuff with it to justify to myself buying it.
this cute dog was one of the cool things i have made-keep tuned for some others
then i added him to a card in a box with some grass cut from my fringe scissors

cricket world cup card

it has been world cup cricket fever here in our house over the last few weeks and although the kiwis didn't win i am ever so proud that they amde it to the finals and played liek gentlemen-the kind of sportsmen i want my kids to look up to.

in honour of that i made this cricket themed card in a box

it is using a retired set called just cricket
i coloured in the bats with watercolour ink and fussy cut them out.
grass was done using the fringe scissors

just add ink #251 just add thank you

i immediately saw this as an opportunity to make a card i have been meaning to make for some time but never had the chance to do so

people often ask me where i get my inspiration for my punch art and i sometimes say the stamps from stampin up are really fun to transform

here is one of my all time favourites

a little smile
as a punch art card
the hedgehogs are made using the owl punch and i have frayed a ribbon for the spikes
i got to use my awesome fringe scissors for the grass and cut the thank you out by freehand
inside i stamped the hedgehogs and their banner and coloured them in with markers
aren't they just the cutest??!!!

enjoy!!

this time it was a colour challenge
daffodil delight, island indigo, gumball green, smoky slate.
plus i had to add a bit of soft suede

i used a variety of punches-scallop circle (big and little), small oval, boho blossoms, circles (medium and tiny) to create this bendi-fold card
view from the top and you cna see how the card folds in to make the bendi part of the design

here it is opened up a little bit and you can see where i have cut the slits in for the tabs.
one is in the background of the blue whilst the other one is hiding in the grass cut by my fringe scissors
here it is wide open and you can see i have used a feel good sentiment

you can find a bendi-fold card tutorial here at splitcoast stampers
