love my mum

another inspired creation from pinterest
for the creative crew challenges this month
a holiday that we love using a new technique
i chose mother's day for my holiday as it is the one day in the year i get a holiday from the daily chores and get to be with my family and cherish what i have. it is also bittersweet as it also represents the things i don't own mum...who passed away in 2008 and reminds me of how much i love and miss her
her face and hair are made using a circle punch with a circle for her bun too.
the garland is made using the blossom punch and cutting the petals up to use as hearts.
letters are from a new polymer set from the 2014/15 catalogue
inside the card i used leftovers to pretty it up
the technique i used was called the sanded pencil background
basically wet water colour paper and then sand your water colour pencils onto it using sandpaper
so easy and beautiful and fun
this is what it looked like wet

cheers ears
