clay earrings and gift box

i made these for a very special person at convention

i hope she liked them

they were made by squishing the paper clay into the baroque stamp and colouring in with inks. 

then i covered it with crystal effects

then i made a pretty little gift box for them to go in

there's something cool about fishing

i like the relaxing waiting for the fish to bite part and then the frenzy that is the catching part

and finally the story telling part when the big one got away lololol

 here's a cute fishing card i amde suing punch art, stencils and brayering

 the fish was relatively easy to do

 i know because i made a few lol

 i used a 13/4" circle punch, ornament punch and 11/2" circle

 cut out the tail using the circle punch and cut a circle in half

hold onto the leftovers for the fisherman's hat

 attach tail and eye (save that other bit for the hat remember?)

attach half circle to fish

colour in eye and use a white gel pen for scales and a green marker for a cheek

then the fisher man

 you will need that leftover bit from the ornament punch and the petite pennant punch and the xl oval

 punch out as shown only taking a little bit of the scalloped triangle

 you should have this

 snip the scalloped edge off and attach to large triangle to make a nose

 remember that ornament bit leftover from the fish?

 cut the top bit off it for his hat

 then stick the other bit for his shirt

 trim off the edges to make it look better

i added a sentiment at the top using the word window.

to do the background i used a brayer and the scalloped edge punch as a stencil.

i used daffodil delight card and brayered on pistachio, cabana, turquoise and indigo

i punched out the trees from the merry litle bits punch set and stenciled them on with some gumball green.

all the details were done in marker

convention swaps 2014 skater cat

this year for convention i wanted to step outisde my usual safe space and experiment a bit with punch art and do something a bit unusual.

not sure who will actually like this swap but i went for a bit of a retro feel to it using colours i dont usually like

this cool skater cat is amde from the owl punch, oval, label and small circle.

his t-shirt was made using a cantaloupe marker on daffodil card

this year stampin up convention is in melbourne

to say i am a bit excited is a bit of an understatement lol

here are some of the swaps i made to give to my fellow demos

 this year i went with earrings for something different.

i amde them using the baby wipe technique with black staz-on. then i covered them with crystal effects.

on the back i inked them and added washi tape

some simple fairies

it's fairies galore at my place at the moment

i seem to be all a flutter with them!

after my attempt the other day i thought that they would be cool to make for a swap so decided to make some simpler ones that were easier to make en-mass for my fellow inklings at our team training day

i love team training days-they are full of great tutorials by jayne mercer, 

plenty of giggles and loads of fun......

great games to play ( just don't be on my team as i am the wooden spoon champion!!)

with no children around.....

convention swaps

well i finally finished phew what a mission that was! this year i chose to do 100 punch art swaps as i figured i would have plenty of time to sit and punch away during soccer practise, swimming lessons and dance sessions that i seem to endlessly drive to each week here they are
