friends

so far 2011 has been a tough year emotionally for me and i have begun to realise that having friends around to help you through these tough times means so much

so a big thank you to my friends 

who have stuck by me this year so far and lent me a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen with

here's a layout i did recently using the greenhouse gala papers from stampin up

party this way stamp set and those cute little rough type alphabet letters.

I added some felt flowers and a bit of hodgepodge hardware for embellishments

i stamped poppy parade onto daffodil delight and then added the rough type alphabet to he front.

I had photos left over that i didn't use so i snuck a choc chip envelope behind the photos for them to live in.

it was nice doing a scrapbook page

think i should do some more

head bands

 although i am a scrapbooker first and a card maker second

i am ALWAYS searching for other ways to use stampin up products

recently my eldest daughter wanted to wear soemthing pretty in her hair for the school disco

she wanted pretty and girly and nothing too uncomfortable that made her head itchy lol

so i ehaded off to my local cheapie shop to find the packets of 5 head bands for $2

and set to them with my hot glue gun and collection of ribbon, felt and su embellishments.

this what we made

 su paper flowers with felt middles and red sparkley sequins

 black felt flowers with blue felt fusion flowers with spotty ribbon

(just would like to add that it is nigh impossible to get katie to keep one of these on her head long enough for a photo hence why it is in her mouth!!!)

 dolly is sporting a pink and black version with the spotty ribbon

here is dolly with a purple and black felt one with flower sequins on the band

so now siobhan has a collection to choose from depending on what outift she finally decides to wear!!

it's all dani's fault!

well it is yes ,you dani holland after watching you make these cool flowers at our inklings retreat i sooooooo wanted to play too so i went home set up my hot glue gun my bigshot my scissors and this is what i did yes i did get carried away but it was so so so so SOOOO much fun and really easy to do

something for baby

a really good friend is about to have her baby and she doesn't know what flavour it is going to be so i have made this baby album for her i used a kaisercraft floral tags album as the base. i painted the chipboard with stampin up inks -tempting turquoise, real red, yoyo yellow and green galore iadded buttons with mini glue dots and added a heidiswap sticker thingie lol. i stuck the metal edge tags down as photo frames again used the metal edge tags and the felt flowers top view falling over on my side view lol front view check out the very cute button chicken i have hoarding in my stash for ages and finally found a use for it. i hope she likes it
