sailing away

another card in a box with a sailing theme
i have been making a few of these for the palmerston north night markets
i have a stall there
plenty of fussy cutting here and the yauchts were coloured using black stazon and an aqua painter with the ink from the lids of the ink pads.

just add ink #250 just add inspiration

another awesome challenge from the just add ink team

this time it was an inspiration challenge
when i saw this all i could think of was a high tea with friends and copious amounts of tea and biscuits and china tea cups
this is what i came up with
a card in a box using the from my heart stamp set from stampin up
i have also used some beautiful pink ribbons and lace and the gorgeous rosettes
punches used include the small butterfly and a border punch
the cups were stamped in black and pink pirouette ink and fussy cut
i cut around the from my heart stamp and utilised different aspects of it in different ways for the inside of the card in a box
the front of the card with some bling and pearls
the view from up top so you can see the mechanics of it
the back of the card where you can write your greeting
a view from the side using spots from the kinda eclectic stamp set

hope this inspires you this week

birthday card catalogue case

it's not often i acquire a stamp set from the stampin up catalogue based purely on the card displayed next to it...
but this one i did :)

nuts about you is a hostess set and is just the cutest thing
here i have added a smiling cloud from the think happy set
i like the way the card isn't normal lol
i love the cut out bit
i will admit that the fussy cutting wasn't too much fun but it was worth the end result-see how it sticks out-love it.
