flying a kite .........straight to my heart

i just re-read that title and thought
oh my goodness
that sounds a bit weird
who wold fly a kite into someone's heart?
it would be a tad dangerous now lololol
any how it is late here and i am blogging which is possibly not a great idea but meh...
i has a card to show off
and that is why i am here!

i seem a little obsessed by kites atm
not sure why
maybe because we have one and i can't fly it to save myself
anywho this card was made with a variety of punches
1 1/4" circles, triangle, corner rounder, owl (heart), scallop circle (clouds)

loads of lovely jubbley layers
man i love my dimensionals mwahahaha

wedding card

 love is in the air
quite a few people i know are getting married at the moment
it is quite lovely
so here is a take on a card i saw ages ago and liked and wanted to make
(but can't remember the source sorry if it is yours-please let me know)

loads of little itty bitty punches and pearls
(apart from the one in the front there the rest of them are in the middle of the flower lolololol)
i used the thinlits words, large scallop punch and the leaves die to get my card done.

leftovers #2 courtesy of raggedy anne and andy

here we are with more leftovers!

when i saw the scallop circle i immediately thought of ronald macdonald, golliwogs
and, my childhood favourite, raggedy anne and andy.

so in homage to my childhood here are favourite dolls!

i used some of our new papers from the hostess level one pack
plus the new stamp set confetti-man that set is going to be useful!
scallop circle was used for the hair, collars and raggedy anne's apron and
 bloomers!
word window for arms, stripey legs and shoes.
small oval for arms and legs.
tag punch for body.
wide oval for apron and pants
owl punch for eyes, buttons and mouth

one thing i find tricky is doing a background for my punch art.
most times all i am creating is the image and then i force myself to do 'something' with it!
because most punch art is quite fussy i am always careful not to overload the card with stuff so a simple background is always good.
how do you work out your backgrounds for your punch art?

pink and black stationery box

when we had the inklings blog hop a while back one of my fellow inklings dani fender did a fab job of one of those stationery boxes i have admired so on other people's blogs she used this tutorial to make it and so did i!
so i made 4 large cards, 6 small cards, 6 tags a notebook and post it note holder
close up of the notebook and post it note holder
tags using an image from the friendly words roller (i actually pulled the roller apart and have cut it up so i can use individual images from it)
small cards
large cards done with 2 different images one ahs butterflies and the other has a birthday cake
here it is just opened up!
on the lid i made a 3d flower from a scallop circle and added a little leaves die cut
rolled the friendly words roller around the pink outside now who to decide to give it to for xmas...hmmmm

i have been punching some ballerinas

well not real ones just the paper kind of course..... back to the topic at hand and it is all about ballerinas. I made some a while ago and have had a bit more of a play since then. I got everyone to make some at our Sale-a-bration charity fundraiser last weekend. Hi if you are checking me out from that-please say hi!! Here is the punch sheet from that showing what bits of each punch you needed in each colour. I hope that made it easy for everyone...well no one had mutant looking ballerinas so it must have been ok hahahahaha I have used Lavendar lace, blush blossom, Chocolate chip and vellum card stock. and just so you know the love hearts are wrong wrong wrong. i cut out the wrong one-you need to cut out the squat one for the shoes and the longer one for the body I will get around to changing it i promise and here are the punches you needed (which you can, of course, buy them all from me because you know you totally NEED them all right now) please say hi and let me know how your ballerinas went cheers ears
