elvis tutorial

as promised here is my elvis punch art tutorial this is just a very basic way of making my version of the king feel free to add as much bling to him as you want lol i use tombow as my glue of choice-sticks like shit and goes a long long way :> righto to start you will need to punch out the following: wide oval in white and razzleberry 1 3/8" square in white and blue word windows in blush blossom x 2 11/4" circle in blush blossom and black horizontal slot with 2 blacks and 1 blush blossom 3/4" circle in red and black 1/2" circle in blue photo corner in white 10cm strip of white (2cm at one end and 1 cm at the other end)

this is what you will need for the body. cut your razzleberry oval into half and then take a triangle out the top cut your strip about 3cm from the narrow end. stick the arms and legs on as shown with your photo corner to guide you cut word window in half and add a horizontal slot to one of the ends making sure your finger is on the up side (hopefully that makes sense?-otherwise your elvis' finger will look stupid) shoes are made from a square punch. cut in half and half again tkae a little triangle out of themglue shoes on add waistcoat to front cut out half a square and stick down with blue belt buckle circle to it

add glittery scarf (just make sure you don't set heat and stick powder to your kitchen bench in the process of doing this because when combined with aqua supernova glitter it is a bitch to get off....not that i would kow ANYTHING about that....ssssshhhh...rolls eyes....) now for his head

here are the parts you will need for the head

on back stick ears down

stick black hair on

add side burns and flicky bit at front

add mouth and then draw in eyes

voila! then add to a card to anything. i stamped down the "you rock!" stamp with black ink onto some razzleberry card for my convention swaps

elvis, croc dunde and a life saver walked into a bar....

sounds like a bad joke huh? well the 'punch' line (man i crack myself up) is here after making my rugby players a while back i thought it would be fun to make some more notable characters so i started off with the iconic surf life savers we see all through summer here in oz at our local beaches doing a wonderful job saving people from themselves it hink he still needs something...possibly a flag in his hand then still with the aussie icons in my head i thought of crocodile dundee aka paul hogan complete with his big knife and finally elvis. i know he is not an ozzie icon but he is still an icon what other icons do you think would be fun to see in punch art? send me a challenge :> cheers ears
