hip hip and a hip hip hop off to the esad mother's day blog hop

hello peeps!!! welcome to my little slice of craftiness from sydney australia i hope you had fun at vicki's blog
what is esad you ask apart from some random word the cow has made up? esad is the extra special australian demonstrators (although they do let us kiwis in as well lol) and we all are stampin up demos in some form or another. we all love stampin up and doing cool stuff with the wonderful products we have available to us. We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know how and cyberstamps and we are always there to help and support each other when its needed. so if you reckon you would like to join us please check out the esad ning forum and say hi :> I challenged myself to use the very cute buttons #5 sizzlits die from the autumn/winter catalogue. retailing at only $9.95 this is a great addition to your stash as it delivers buttons at the exact colour you want rather than just making do. c'mon now i know if you are anything like me you often fumble through your stash of buttons trying to find the perfect one. with this you don't have to....and best of all...you can customize them to make them individual...woohoo! you can put through double thickness of card stock to get twice as many buttons. you can make buttons out of anything your imagination (and big shot) lets you. paper, card, chipboard, oht are just a few of the things i have tried using plain whisper white (or any plain colour really lol) card can then let you decorate the buttons with stamps
one of my fellow esad-ers shirley mcavoy shared her great ideas for making the die cuts chunkier and more button-like by adding layers and crystal effects. the 2 yellow buttons have had 4 extra layers added and the red round one has had 6...personally the red one has turned out better imo anyways onto what i have made with my buttons here is a 3d shoe made from a template from here i added some bella rose and raspberry tart dsp to the melon mambo card. buttons are on the strap and front bit. you can use this rather than a gift box to put some tasty chocolates in for mum. i asked my daughter (6) what else i could make and she decided i could make her a bracelet as i have one of those button necklaces she admires although i am not sure how practical a gift that would be in the rain lol but you could easily adapt the idea for wine glass gadgets my next idea was for the sexy mama in us all. nothing like a bit of cleavage and a yellow polka dot bikini template can be found here next what all mums need to get is flowers and here is one great big blingy bouncey one with a big button in the middle of flower! and finally a manniquin with friendly words rolled onto it and buttons-paper, card, acetate and real (yes..gosh darn it...real ones!!)-added to it with diamnates and pearls oh and glitter!!!! :> hope you enjoyed and feel inspired now off to the lovely lisa to see her fabulous work. just in case you do get lost here is a list of our esad participants Sharelene Meyer www.magpiecreates.com Kelly Nelson www.Kellysstampinspot.wordpress.com Kim Badelt www.kimsstampingspot.blogspot.com Jan McAnulty www.cardcaperswithjan.wordpress.com Megan Mcdonald www.megan-finishingtouches.blogspot.com Narelle Hodges www.stampwithnarelle.blogspot.com Kristine Thompson www.inkspotcreations.com Kylie Swain www.kraftykylie.typepad.com/blossom_designs Rachel Jackson www.havefunstamping.blogspot.com Nicky Adamson www.nickyadamson.blogspot.com Kari Hughes www.karigail.wordpress.com Vicki Were www.stmpinvickistyle.blogspot.com Clare McLlhatton www.craftycowcreations.blogspot.com Lisa Bullock www.daffyscrapper.wordpress.com Wendy Todd www.stampwithwendy.com.au Jenny Humphreys www.stampinbytheseatofmypants.blogspot.com cheers ears Moo may represent an idea, but only the cow knows.
