esad retirement blog hop

welcome to the E.S.A.D blog hop
you may have popped in from teresa's blog or just started here. grab a cuppa and sit down on your comfy chair and have a squizz at what we have to show and then head off to chloes

once a year stampin up retires old stock and brings in some new goodies
today we say bye bye to some trusted goodies that have been fun to play with during the year
and if you are lucky might still be able to get before they sell out!

these 2 retiring items have been a firm favourite of mine this year
the stamp set is called tag it and it is the  charity set where stampin up donate $3 of every set sold to ronald macdonald house-a good reason to buy it i think!
the other item is the tasteful trim die for your big shot machine which cuts out a variety of trim and edging to be used for all sorts of fabulous ideas!

here are some of my ideas

a simple card for someone you like or love.
could easily be translated into a masculine birthday card with a different sentiment
a celebrate card using the marker to stamp technique
using the trim as a bold background and colouring in with the markers.
this is a great way to use up scraps of card or dsp to make a easy but striking card
using the trim in a punch art card
this the actual leftover cut out bits
i also used the trim as a stencil to do the clouds
the friend stamp is from a retiring hostess set called postage collection
the bakers twine is calypso coral coloured-another retiring product
finally a scrapbooking layout using the largest trim in a variety of colours.
i also used the sketch alphabet and numbers for my title-a very cheap alphabet set that is really versatile.

Wow, love the cards made with Tasteful Trim! Another retirement list 'need'. You've made it look so awesome (and love the leftover hot air balloon).
