autumn card

soooo not my colours but i love a challenge :)

with all those autumnly colours i thought why not a autumn card
using a leaf die i have had sitting around for just such an occasion
i placed them in a card in a box to get a 3d effect

i sponged the outside using a stencil from the sheet of card that i cut the leaves from
to make the coloured card i inked up a glass mat with the challenge colours,
spritzed it with water to smoosh it all together
and then laid the paper on top of it.
i dried it quickly with a heat gun
and then die cut what i needed out of the sheets

a pretty lady

using wisteria wonder, peach parfait, cool caribbean, and certain celery.

when i saw those colours i knew i had to make this lady
that had been rummaging around in my crafty brain lol

she was made with the following
xl oval-arms, hat
11/4" circle-face, stomach, hat
bow builder-bow
itty bitty flower-flowers
owl-eyes
heart-bust
scalloped oval-hair
tasteful trim-dress trim

now you peeps with the sharp eyes will probably go
oh my..she hasn't used the right colours!!!
and you would be right :)
i didn't have all those colours so used as close as i had
and here is the inside.
this is going to an inky friend of mine who is celebrating her birthday this month

just add ink #248 just add colour

woohoo!!

am loving these colours!

it was wet and wild here yesterday so i got the chance to blob out in the craft room and get my mojo on
i had been to the library and gotten some crafty books out for some inspiration and had been meaning to make some of the stuff inside them
this challenge was perfect for one of them
here is the plain outside of the card
inside though it is a variety of card stock and papers making a paris scene using a pop up idea
i have the eiffel tower, arc de triomph amongst the buildings plus a hot air balloon in the sky
here are the mechanics of it all using leftover strips of dsp to make them pop out
the book i got the idea from and instructions below

5 birthday cards

here are some more cards i have made for another client. she wanted 5 very different ones that used flowers or natural elements. i started with colour as my inspiration as i figured that would be an easy way to get 5 different cards. i also went to one of my favourite websites http://www.pagemaps.com/cards.htm for some layout ideas. i have used mostly su stuff but i have also delved into my stash to get some other cool stuff that seriously needs to be used up!!!
this one used some flowery border thingy i had that was already cut out and ready to go so i tunred it into a little scene with vellum clouds and a 3d sun. not my favouritest card in the whole wide world but it turned out how i pictured it in my head. this one came from the 3d sticker in my stash which very cooley matched the su dsp i had. the top bit has been cuttlebugged with the spotty embossing sheet and some pretty su felt flowers to top it off. have been trying to upload the rest of the images but for some reason blogger doesn't want them...ho hum will just have to leave you guessing then hey?!
