autumn card

soooo not my colours but i love a challenge :)

with all those autumnly colours i thought why not a autumn card
using a leaf die i have had sitting around for just such an occasion
i placed them in a card in a box to get a 3d effect

i sponged the outside using a stencil from the sheet of card that i cut the leaves from
to make the coloured card i inked up a glass mat with the challenge colours,
spritzed it with water to smoosh it all together
and then laid the paper on top of it.
i dried it quickly with a heat gun
and then die cut what i needed out of the sheets

all you need is love

this month over at the creative crew
we were asked to embrace our white space!
to show monochromatic with white (or vanilla)
to any progressions of color
while showcasing the beauty of any image of our choice.
this challenge was to make a celebration card

i made a wedding anniversary card
although ti could also be used as a valentine's day or wedding card too i guess
i sponged lightest to darkest from the middle out in a variety of reds and pinks
i used the new alphabet photopolymer abc set
i added some of the new punched hearts in white

transformers...

 ....boring trays in disguise....

 here is a boring tray
a very very VERY boring tray
made from dull boring balsa wood recycled from a old birthday toy

roll a jumbo wheel over it, colour it in with some markers, add a bit of sponging to it

see...a bit more exciting huh?

just got to make a present to go inside it now : >

you know when...

you first see a stamp set and think "ew yuck who would buy that?" and then two weeks later you buy it? ahem.............well yes that's me! this is one of those sets. organic grace it is called and it is a free set you can recieve as a hostess of a stampin up demo it has always seemed a bit 'meh' but since i have been channeling zindorf i have been looking at the stamp sets i choose in a different way. here i have teamed it up with some lovely plant stamps to create a water/sunset scene with my brayer and sponges I actually made 38 of these beauties for swaps easy to do and very effective want to learn how to brayer? keep an eye out for my next lot of workshops for term 2 cheers ears

I'm channeling zindorf

lately i have been inspired by michelle zindorf man oh man she is just amazing and inspiring. here is what i did today it is so much fun just playing with the inks and sponges and embossing powders. It is also good to just make something that is an image rather than a card that i can hang on my wall-i seriously need some cool things on our walls....may as well be my stuff hey??!! although i now realise that i seriously need to invest in some tree stamps...hmmm....lovely as a tree could be on the cards methinks.... cheers ears
