pocket card mini album

another idea popped into my head whilst i was making my huge pocket card for a scrapbooking page
what if i made a few of them and used them in a mini album as pages?
et voila!
here we are!
i used the cheerful treat dsp you can get with your hostess dollars
it is VERY pretty
here are the pages stuck together with the tab punch and ribbon on the pull out pages

and pretty flower using the flower folds die

so how do i make this you ask-eeeaaasssyyy!

take 4 pieces of 12x12 dsp, cut in half and fold in half.
cut off about 5cm from one end.
stick tape on sides and stick together

use craopadile to punch holes along bottom
add strip to top of shortest flap.
 add flowers to each page
make cover using a 30x17cm piece of paper.
cut in half and add to a 7cm strip of card which has been folded at 3cm and 4cm
decorate cover-i used flowers and lace ribbon border punch.

attach all the pages together with twine and stick to inside of cover with sticky strip
cut out an A4 piece of card into 4.
add a tab punch and ribbon to these and use these for your journalling and photos

clear as mud?
good :P
feel free to ask any questions given how awesome my intructions usually are rofl

cards swaps are cool

a great way to get inspiration is to participate in a card swap nothing like making a card for a purpose and then swapping them and then getting more that are similar to get the old mojo going. each month i participate in a card swap with some mummy friends of mine over at essential baby each month sally gives us a challenge to do this month was quite tricky and i have to say i failed epically at it lol but i do have 6 cards to swap that are easel cards why i didnot follow therules i don't know i think i got an idea in my head and just went with it...silly moo that i am!
anyways here is my take on the masculine card i went hunting on the www for retro clip art (decided to do something a little different than stamping) and found this little gem teamed with some awfully plaid paper and retro man card here we come ...i think.... it does need more embellishments maybe a jumbo brad or something but my deadline had come so maybe next time i'll have more of a play
my second swap is also an easel card this time i used the bird punch from stampin up it is such a great punch check out what valita does with it hope my swapees like what they are getting! cheers ears!

hello little birdies!!!

gotta love the little birdies espcially the new 2 step bird punch from stampin up how cool is it?! waaaaaaaaay cool here is what i have been inspired to make with it so far a simple card with a circle cut out in the middle with the bird on a branch covering it. finished off with a bit of matching ribbon this is one of the cards we made at my recent mini catalogue launch next one is the blinged up version that is actually blue brocade grosgrained coloured in to match the colour of the bird the flowers have tiny blue diamnates in them (sssssh not su) finally here is the 3d version a la bird house with 2 little robin red breasts complete with daubered shingles and feathered details and leaf details and ribbon oh and did i mention the roof lifts off so that it actually ahs a purpose of being a box rather than just being pretty lol let me know what you think cheers ears
