when your scrap box gets too big...

you have to cull or create....so i created this time although my 6 year old has pilfered some of it for her own creative uses as well. i have had to do somethign with the box as it is starting to over flow and needs to upsize-not good jan-so these cards were all made from bits and peices from the scrap box-not bad i thought-not enough bold bright colours (probably why they are scraps lol) but servicable cards this one has some cuttlebugging in it. i have daubered over the embossing to highlight it the blue bird is some chipboard i picked up 'cheap as chips' in the bargain aisle of my local ware whare. an old card front i didn't use from a swap i did many many many moons ago more daubered embossing but with choc chip this time cheers ears

hoot hoot hooray

and no not the stamp set. hooray for me that i sat down and did sewing for...cue loud gasp....fun...yes i sewed for fun. not curtains. not cushions. not a dalmation outfit for school book week. but for fun. it was, of course, a total unmitigated disaster and my granny would have fifty fits to see such shoddy sewing techniques. but all in all i had fun and made something i would normally not even venture towards. this sock owl was made so much better by claire at craft shmaft but my attempt complete with beanie and little felt feet was a successful, if not ugly first attempt. i will be having another go during the week wiht a brighter odd sock to show off. oh and please excuse my awful awful photos of late. i ahve lost my camera somewhere around my inklings retreat weekend so i am left with the phone camera and as you can tell it is a peice of crap cheers ears

essential baby swap

so after a brief rest I am back into my swaps again. this month I have my essential baby card swap group (find us here http://www.essentialbaby.com.au/forums/index.php?act=SF&s=&f=169). This month we have to make a sympathy/sorry slider card using pink yellow and brown. I had some card I have had sitting in my stash for ages so decided that I had to use it up for this challenge. The stamp set I used was "From the Garden" which was a hostess set from the 2008/2009 SU catalogue. It has always been a stamp set that intrigues me and I like to find uses for it because it is not really a 'me' kind of card but the more I use it the more I find it useful for loads of cards and scrapbooking. this was a really easy card to make. If you want to learn how to make it please give me a bell and I can show you how. Don't have a cow, man. Matt Groening

back again!!

well now my baby moon has expired and i am the proud owner of a june 2009 model baby i have found time to make some cards, go on a inklings retreat and take part in a cyber crop. i have lost my camera though....sigh...so not too many piccies to be had until i find itagain. YES i have checked the fridge and i haven't put it in there in my sleep deprived state hahahaha i managed to take this one with my phone camera so please excuse the awful photo. it was for a cyber crop with the inklings team. we had to make a xmas card using non-traditional colours. i used the just jawing set and added some snowflake eyes. i am not too sure who would appreciate this card for xmas-i need to find some emo friends probably hahahahahaha
