you are my sunshine....my only sunshine

it is raining where i live today

and my son is STILL home with the chicken pox

so i had to come and play in my craft room today

oh dear, how sad

the girls at just add ink had 

the.perfect.challenge. 

for me today in the form of sunbursts

 the card is a window card and i have cut the sun bursts out so you can see the clouds behind

i inked it up with a variety of yellow inks plus some pumpkin pie and poppy

 inside i made the clouds using a scallop circle punch as a stencil and added a bit of feel good sentiment to the card

the circles are cut using the tiny circle punch and the cropadile

hope the recipient likes it when i send it to her

sunny days...i wish!

i wish i could say it was beautiful and sunny here in sydney but it is the middle of winter and a bit bleak and dreary. so what better excuse to use the sunny days kit from stampin to at least pretend it is summer lol

stampin up sell a groovey little 5x5 art journal for $13.50 that is perfect for making over her i have used the sunny days kit to tart it up a bit.

i used seeing spots stamp set to pretty up the pages inside too.

the sunny days kti comes wiht these awesome stickers which are quite sturdy and very sticky perfect for a quick make for a special gift

here is the finished product complete with a multitude of matching su ribbons! cheers ears

sunny days are here again!

it is a brisk winter morning here in sydney and what a better way than to start the day by snuggling into my ugg boots, sitting in my pj's, and playing on the puter! although my snuggliness will be short lived as my kids need to go to soccer this morning-urg! a while ago i was busy making scrapbooking pages with our sunny days scrappin kit and i found this lovely idea from leanne graf and i thought "oooooooooooo" as one does!

here is my take on her fabulous idea.

it is an accordian album-like a zigzag album a bit i suppose. i have put a cover all around it

see it spread out i managed to make 8 pages with mine

i used the dsp from the sunny days pack for my background and just added the various sticker elements from the pack.
